  • Manitoba Acts Garner 12 JUNO Nods, Including 5 for MFM Supported Artists

    On February 4, 2014 the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for this year’s JUNO Awards, including 12 nods for Manitoba acts. The nominees include MFM supported artists Royal Canoe, Marie-Claude, Desiree Dorian, Erin Propp & Larry Roy and KEN mode. Other local nominees include Little Miss Higgins and the Winnipeg Five, Isabel Bayrakdarian (with the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra), Mahogany Frog, James Ehnes, Matt Epp (co-nominated for songwriting with Serena Ryder) and Toronto-based David Travers-Smith for his work an album for Manitoba’s Ruth Moody. The JUNO Awards will take place in Winnipeg, March 24 – 30, 2014.
