Music Recording Production Fund Program Deadlines 2016/17

The following are the Music Recording Production Fund Program application deadlines for 2016/17 fiscal year:

May 19th 2016
September 29th 2016
January 19th 2017

Applications must be received by 5 PM on day of deadline.

 
Music Business Development Fund Program Deadline 2016/17

The Music Business Development Deadline application deadline for 2016/2017 fiscal year is June 23rd 2016.

Applications must be received by 5 PM on day of deadline.

 
MFM Music Program Changes for 2016/17

The following is a list of the program changes for the MFM music programs for 2016/17:
 
Program Change for all Programs

First-time applicants must set up a meeting with the MFM music department before applying to any of MFM music programs. To make sure you fit the program criteria and understand how to access the programs, we are asking applicants to set up a meeting in person or by phone with music program staff. Email music@mbfilmmusic.ca or call 204-947-2040 to set up a meeting.

 
Music Recording Production Fund Program Change

Three application submission rule: MFM would allow a project to be submitted three times to the Music Recording Production Fund. After being declined for the third time the artist would only be eligible to apply to the Music Recording Production Fund with a different recording project.

 
Out-of Province Artist Recording Program Change

Removal of the 750 unit sales threshold for Level 2 Out-of-Province Artist applications

 
Video Program Change

MFM will allow viral video funding applications (max $1500) for non-MFM-funded recordings with a cap of one video project per album/ep and a maximum of ten viral video projects per fiscal year.
