Description of Corporation
The Manitoba Film & Sound Recording Development Corporation (Manitoba Film & Music or MFM) is a statutory corporation of government proclaimed under the Manitoba Film and Sound Recording Development Corporation Act funded by the Province of Manitoba through the Department of Sport, Culture and Heritage. We exist so Manitoba's film and music industries flourish.
MFM supports Manitoba film and music through our objectives, which are to create, stimulate, employ and invest in Manitoba by developing and promoting Manitoba companies, producing and marketing film, television, video and music recording projects as well as to promote Manitoba as a film location for off-shore production companies. MFM is a member of the Association of Film Commissions International (AFCI).
MFM is seeking a consultant to lead the Corporation’s staff and board through the creation of an interim strategic plan that will cover the next 12 to 18 months. The purpose of this strategic plan will be to bridge the gap between the Corporation’s current plan (which expires in 2018) and an anticipated future Cultural Industries Strategy. The consultant will engage with MFM staff and board to determine the priorities of the Corporation and its direction over the next 12 to 18 months. Based on the outcomes, the consultant will create an interim strategic plan and operations plan with input from MFM’s CEO and senior staff.
Proposal Deadline: May 10, 2018
Conduct Sessions with Staff and Board: May or June 2018
Delivery of Interim Strategic Plan: July 2018
Proposals must include:
An explanation of the service being provided
A CV of the consultant or their company

Mandate of consultant’s company
MFM anticipates selecting at least two individuals or companies to have more in-depth discussions with, prior to the decision being made. Any given bidder, including the lowest bid, may not be successful. MFM is not responsible for any costs incurred by the respondents in preparing or submitting their proposals.
