Manitoba Film and Music and On Screen Manitoba are supporting in Spring 2016 one Screenwriter (and the Producer) to attend the 18. eQuinoxe Europe International Screenwriters ́ Workshop & Master Class to be held in Europe.

We are now inviting applications for Writer/Producer teams to attend our 18th Workshop, to be held in late spring 2016 (scheduled for early June).

The Programme

The programme is a 7-day residential, intensive, high-end training programme steeped in pedagogical layers for creative talent, catering to the best and brightest filmmakers in Europe and hosting internationally acclaimed advisors. The International Screenwriters Workshops are for screenwriters who have had minimum one feature length script pro- duced or equivalent experience. The workshops only deal with screenplays for the cin- ema. The workshops are held in different European countries.

The goals of the workshop are: • To get the best possible results out of strong stories with an inherent cultural identity. • To enable talented screenwriters to learn from the best in the business.

Participants receive 3-4 days of creative tuition, with the remainder focussing on business development, alongside 1-1 advisor/writer meetings. Further information can be found at www.equinoxe-europe.org.

Criteria

Screenplays should be at an advanced stage of development, preferably ca. third draft, in order to maximise the one-to-one meetings with the advisors. • Manitoba Writers who have had at least one script produced factual or dramatic

(or equivalent experience) are eligible to apply. • Screenplays for cinema (Drafts are not accepted). • There are no fees for the selection process. • Producer must be attached. • Scripts submitted in industry-standard format and pagination. • If your project is invited, travel, food and lodging for the writers

are paid by the workshop. • If your project is accepted, project producers are obliged to attend the last 2.5 days of

the workshop. Travel costs are not covered for producers, however, food and lodging costs are. MB producers may apply to On Screen Manitoba ́s Professional Development Fund to help offset economy flight costs.
