WINNIPEG (June 16, 2021) – Manitoba Film & Music, in partnership with Film Training Manitoba (FTM), announces today the launch of the TAKE 5 Film & TV sessions at the Gimli Film Festival, which is set to run July 12-25, 2021.

Gimli Film Festival is an internationally recognized event but it is not just for spectators; it is also a place for content creators to share their art and hone their craft. The TAKE 5 Film & TV sessions will provide participants with industry insider tips during five cutting-edge, 90-minute ZOOM panels.

"We expect filmmakers who attend the TAKE 5 Film & TV sessions to acquire knowledge that will help them advance their careers while also adding more depth and skill to the Manitoba film industry workforce," commented Rachel Rusen, CEO and Film Commissioner at Manitoba Film & Music.

These one-of-a-kind sessions are aimed at supporting business development for Manitoba's dynamic content creators. All those attending will receive behind-the-scenes advice from experienced film and TV industry professionals.

“Manitoba’s Film Commissioner and CEO, Rachel Rusen, and her team at Manitoba Film & Music have been outstanding in leading this innovative initiative,” said Adam Smoluk, FTM’s Managing Director. “I cannot think of a better venue for this venture than Manitoba's dynamic Gimli Film Festival.”
