Music program closures and changes

Due to very high demand on Manitoba Film & Music’s (MFM) music programs and an early drawdown of program budgets, Manitoba Film & Music announces the following program changes and closures: 

• The Music Video and Viral Video Fund and the Record Product Marketing Support programs are closed for the fiscal year and will not reopen until March 1, 2023. No further applications to these programs will be accepted. Applicants with applications pending review will be contacted directly. 
• The Recording Artist Touring Support program will only accept applications from Manitoba artists touring on MFM-funded recordings. The program will reopen to all applicants on March 1, 2023. 
• MFM will not be accepting applications for Level 3 recording funding for the September 15, 2022, deadline. 
• Manitoba Film & Music will not be running the January 19, 2023, recording deadline. Applications for the May 2023 deadline will be accepted starting March 1, 2023. 

As previously announced on June 1, the Recording Production Fund for Out-of-Province Artists remains closed to applications until March 1, 2023.  

Manitoba Film & Music’s upcoming recording deadline is September 15, 2022, at 5 p.m. and completed applications with supporting materials can be delivered via Dropbox or Google Drive. Links to application folders can be emailed to music@mbfilmmusic.ca.
