Access to Markets & Festivals program changes

After an unprecedented demand in the 2022-23 fiscal year, Manitoba Film & Music’s Access to Markets & Festivals program is now closed for new applications.

Beginning April 1, 2023, the former Access to Markets & Festivals program, funded and administered by Manitoba Film & Music, will now be administered by On Screen Manitoba and is rebranded under the following three support programs:

Access to Markets

An industry-driven fund that supports the market development activities of Manitoba producers, production companies, independent distributors and writers at national and international markets.

Access to Festivals

An industry-driven fund that supports a portion of the travel costs for independent Manitoba writers, directors, producers and distributors whose feature length productions (short films may be considered on a case-by-case basis) have been selected to screen at national and international festivals.

Professional Development Fund

An industry-driven program designed to support the professional development of independent Manitoban writers, directors, production company full-time staff, and creative service professionals with at least two years of experience in the screen-based industry.

 

These funds will continue to provide support for Manitoba producers, writers, directors and/or distributors to attend industry-recognized film and television industry markets and film festivals, professional development opportunities and other related approved events.
