Job Opportunity! Film Commission Services Coordinator

MANITOBA FILM & MUSIC (MFM) is looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual to join its fast-paced environment for an entry level position.

The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate of a post-secondary institute with strong comprehensive and writing skills, effective research skills, scheduling experience and a good understanding of Winnipeg and rural Manitoba as it pertains to knowledge of potential film locations. The successful candidate will be a focused multi-tasker that demonstrates   outstanding interpersonal skills, adaptability and an exemplary work ethic.  

A valid Manitoba Drivers’ license is essential. PC computer skills (including Word and Excel) are critical; knowledge of Photoshop is an asset. Strong photography skills are valued.

The ability to work quickly and independently is fundamental to this position..

Tasks include:

Providing administrative support, database entry, photocopying and assembly of marketing materials;
Reading film scripts quickly, writing summaries, identifying key locations and generating a digital image package that conforms to film commission guidelines and format;
Responding to inquiries and communicating with film producers;
Organizing and facilitating executive film scouts around the province;
Supporting marketing initiatives.
