Manitoba Music Rocks Charity Bonspiel

Posted on January 27, 2014

Manitoba's music community will hit the ice Febrary 2, 2014 for the fourth annual Manitoba Music Rocks Charity Bonspiel.

The yearly event, co-hosted by Manitoba Film & Music and Manitoba Music, brings together musicians and music industry professionals for a day of fun at the Grante Curling Club. The bonspiel raises money for the Unison Benevolent Fund - a chartiy that offers discreet financial relief to members of Canada's music industry in times of personal hardship or crisis. In the past three years, the bonspiel has raised over $10,000 for Unison.

The 2014 Manitoba Music Rocks Charity Bonspiel is supported by our official bonspiel sponsor Asham. A special thanks also goes out to all our sponsors including The Fairmont Winnipeg, The Forks, Long & McQuade, BreakOut West, Guppy Graphic Design, Payworks, Half Pints, SOCAN, Special T and BT Winnipeg.

In promotion of the event, BT Winnipeg created a video titled 'Etiquette of a Competent Curler'. A special thanks goes out to the video's stars including professional curler Jon Mead, musician Rusty Matyas (Imaginary Cities), musician Vanessa Kuzina (Oh My Darling) and Rob Rousseau. The 2014 Manitoba Music Rocks Charity Bonspiel is sold out. However, people can support the Unision Benevolent Fund by visiting The Unison Website.
