Manitoba's music community will hit the ice Febrary 2, 2014 for the fourth annual Manitoba Music Rocks Charity Bonspiel.
The yearly event, co-hosted by Manitoba Film & Music and Manitoba Music, brings together musicians and music industry professionals for a day of fun at the Grante Curling Club. The bonspiel raises money for the Unison Benevolent Fund - a chartiy that offers discreet financial relief to members of Canada's music industry in times of personal hardship or crisis. In the past three years, the bonspiel has raised over $10,000 for Unison.
The 2014 Manitoba Music Rocks Charity Bonspiel is supported by our official bonspiel sponsor Asham. A special thanks also goes out to all our sponsors including The Fairmont Winnipeg, The Forks, Long & McQuade, BreakOut West, Guppy Graphic Design, Payworks, Half Pints, SOCAN, Special T and BT Winnipeg.
In promotion of the event, BT Winnipeg created a video titled 'Etiquette of a Competent Curler'. A special thanks goes out to the video's stars including professional curler Jon Mead, musician Rusty Matyas (Imaginary Cities), musician Vanessa Kuzina (Oh My Darling) and Rob Rousseau.
