Manitoba Film & Music is looking for individuals with a passion for sustainability to train productions on how to be ‘Reel Green’!

A combination of relevant experience and education in both the film industry and sustainability is required. Are you a production manager with a background in climate science? Do you work in the environmental sector and have knowledge of the film industry? Or do you have another combination of relevant experience? We want to hear from you!

An instructor of the program must:

• Have documented experience in the motion picture industry/work experience on set; or have formal training in the film industry, through Film Training Manitoba or another credible institution

AND

•Have taken climate science course(s) and can demonstrate sound knowledge of current climate science, international policy and actions related to climate science.

OR

•Have an equivalent combination of training and experience related to climate science and motion picture industry work.

Initial training on course delivery will be provided. Trainers will then be responsible for running training sessions for production crews.

Applicants must be available for training April 20th-24th and available to run sessions 1-2 times per month beginning in May.

In addition to teaching, additional tasks for the instructor include:

-updating the slide deck with most recent stats, examples, etc. Please note: the overall structure of the course and content may not change, but updates that follow the themes and content may be added.
-arranging lunch food to be delivered and/or coordinating with the host to arrange food
-sending a pre-course reminder email to registrants as needed - remind of the start time, parking, bring reusable water bottle, lunch will be served.
-collecting attendance and logging attendees post-course
-distributing evaluations and logging the responses post-course
-providing updates and stats on the course that include number of registrants and/or attendees

The course runs between the hours of 9:00am – 4:30pm, unless otherwise arranged.
